Description

Develops layouts for components and systems and selects material. Prepares design drawings, calculations, and bills of material from engineering documents associated with the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of various company’s transmission and distribution systems and telecommunication systems.

Typical Responsibilities may include:

• Prepares scaled work order maps using computer aided design software (CAD) such as Autodesk Utility Design (AUD) and Design Manager (DM), AutoCAD Map3d.
• Draws map(s) using the correct mapping symbols, call-outs, decals, proper tie downs, etc.
• Implement Engineering redlines with accuracy and completeness prior to completing the drafting/drawing.
• Inputs customer, project, and billing information (i.e., completes construction prints, material takeoffs to associated utility standards).
• Consult with Planners and other planning personnel to prepare design drawings and modifications as required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• All aspects of Electrical Distribution design covered, Substation, road widenings, joint use, overhead to underground conversions, Heavy underground duct bank design. PLS pole/PLSCadd, and Transmission line work.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
